Bison Cafe

Coffee brought to you by the Montessori School of Dayton’s middle school students!

Maria Montessori wrote that “Independence, in the case of the adolescents, has to be acquired on a different plane, for theirs is the economic independence in the field of society. Here, too, the principle of ‘Help me to do it alone!’ ought to be applied.” At MSD, the middle school students run a full-service coffee shop called the Bison Cafe. Students are fully responsible for tracking accounting, taking inventory, running business meetings, and advertising new products. We’ve partnered with Boston Stoker to provide our community with a custom blend of coffee known as “Bison Blend.” The Bison Cafe is open daily from 8:15-8:45 am. Stop the cafe today for a delicious handmade latte, hot chocolate, or smoothie!
